Board Newbie!

Hello,
Just popped in today after purchasing The Adobe Photoshop Layers Book yesterday.
I plan to study the whole book in order to better understand the power of layers. I adore digital photography and digital optimisation in Photoshop. However I am more a photographer and artist than a computer wizard, so I sometimes get a little confused. I have used layers in Photoshop for several years but fear that I do not understand them deeply enough to get the best from such an awesome and powerful route to optimizing my images.

While there were a few other posts before yours (mostly by me) I think you may be the first to find their way here through the new version of the book! It is still not due out for a few days, but I hear at the same time that it is already shipping.

Hi, everyone, my name is Wes Norman and I am just signing up for this forum. I just purchased the Layers book and hope to learn a lot from reading it. I guess I am an intermediate user of Photoshop CS4 but have a keen interest in learning as much as I can so that my images can be tweaked properly to improve interest. I am looking forward to hearing from others on this community.
